I've eaten at Mom's and have nothing but kiddos for their dishes. I experienced a phenomenal salmon on fettuccini Alfredo last week, and tonight it's a great Gorgonzola pear salad and a striped sea bass on white beans and a refreshing fennel accent. Paired with a clean Sauvignon Blanc, I also benefitted from an unfortunate customer who did not pick up their Sicilian pizza... the sauce on this is most excellent! The great atmospher, excellent service and that at home feel to the establishment has me coming back again!!

Mom's Pizza is located in an odd, nondescript lot in Sorrento Valley and shares a building with a preschool (lol?) and some other businesses. I was intrigued and decided to pick up two pizzas for takeout. They have a very creative menu of pizza flavors, like rosemary potato, shrimp scampi, and something with pineapple and jalapenos. The person who took our order was pretty adamant that we shouldn't order two flavors on one pie, which was a bit odd, but we were okay with ordering two separate pizzas. We got a Margherita pizza--our litmus test for a good pizza--and a shrimp scampi pizza. Service was efficient and quick despite the place being full of diners. The 2 pizzas were around $50 including tip. Pros: - Awesome shrimp scampi pizza. It reminds me of the Bronx pesto pizza but with more garlic and of course, shrimp. Wish they were a little bit heavier on the shrimp but in this economy...I get it. - Crust wasn't too thick or too burnt and crackery. Not as chewy as the typical Neopolitan, but I enjoyed it. Cons: - The Margherita was sadly pretty bland. The San Marzano tomato sauce flavor was there but there was not enough salt to bring out the full umami potential. There were a few burnt leaves of basil on top, which was disappointing. Despite having a mid Margherita experience, I am definitely interested in coming back and sampling some of their other offerings.

I have never had a better pizza in my life! I was really surprised when I found it in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. I think my favor part of the pizza is that they use a 3 day fermented dough and it's so delicious. The staff is really friendly, I need to go back asap. They also have a killer lunch special. This is a hidden Jem.

Hidden along, Sorrento Valley Road is Mom's pizza and Pasts Restaurant. I have driven Sorrento Valley Road. for many years and have never noticed the restaurant. Luckily, last week I was introduced to the restaurant for lunch. My colleague ordered pasta with meatballs and a pizza as a shared starter. I ordered the pasta with tomato sauce. The pizza we shared as an appetizer. Had a nicely prepared crust and the flavor was very good. Both our main courses were excellent. My colleague even ordered an additional takeout of their meatballs. My only disappointment was that I hadn't noticed the restaurant years earlier. Needless to say, I will become a frequent diner going forward.

We ordered delivery from the restaurant. The pizza was delicious . You have to order and pay for your sauces separately. The service was good, very attentive on the phone and in person. We didn't go to the location but the packaging was nice and everything was neat nothing messy.

Nailed it! I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised. Although this restaurant gets good reviews, I am always suspect with pizza places because it can be very subjective based on style. I asked what type of pizza they make on their Stone fire oven and was told the crust was classic style. I asked if they could do it a bit thin and crispy for me and they absolutely did. I ordered the margarita pizza with a thin and extra crispy crust and it was perfect. From the sauce to the cheese and basil to the perfect crust, it was the best pizza I have had in and around this area. I enjoyed the pizza on their small outdoor patio and it was a perfect evening to do so.

YES YES 1000% Yes. Amazing service. Delicious food. Totally worth the visit. This isn't just the fast food pizza you can order frozen. This one was made fresh and quick. You can taste the crisp flaky crust and toppings. This was soooo good and flavorful. Definitely the best I've ever had. The cannoli's were a dream! They were so delicious and sweet. Shoutout to Laura for being so kind to us during our visit! The shop is so cozy and reminds me of a grandma with the ambiance of a lemon and sunflower obsession. Definitely a must visit in San Diego

Reminded me of those old hometown pizzerias or even Pizza Hut back in the day. You can order a slice reheated, if you're in a hurry, but the real treat are the fresh whole pizzas made to order. So many options, it's hard to pick just one. Meat Lovers Pizza: Got a small pizza so it was made fresh to order. Hence, I expected it to take longer than heating up a slice and that was fine since I had the time. The crust was thicker than a typical thin NY slice or those artisanal fancy flour pizzas a lot of places are slinging today. Lots of meat on the meat lovers. Good amount of cheese. Kinda wish there was a tad more sauce. Overall, a yummy lunch out.
